\nThe birding cruise advertised in last month’ s Skagit Flyer is proving so popular that we’re moving up from th e 30-passenger Blackfish III to the 48 passenger Blackfish IV . As mentioned in last month’s announcement\, expert Skagit Audubon birder Gary Bletsch will help us find and learn about seab irds\, shorebirds\, waterfowl\, and possibly other wildlife up close and p ersonal in their natural habitat. \;
\nThe Blackfish IV will leave Skyline Marina (2201 Skyline Way\, Anacortes) bound for Willia mson’s Rocks and other points. We’ll depart at 9:30 \;AM sharp. Please arrive by 9:00 AM. We’ll return about 12:30 PM.
\nThe Blackfish IV is owned and operated by Outer Island Excursions. It is well desi gned for birding\, with room for everyone both inside and out. Dress warml y. Waterproof jacket and pants would be best. You might want to bring a th ermos and snacks.
\nCost: $60.00 per person. Reservations required: phone or e-mail Tim Manns (360-336-8753 or conservation@skagitaudubon.org). To confirm your plac e (limited to 48)\, Skagit Audubon must have your check or money order mad e out to “Skagit Audubon” no later than the February 13th Audub on monthly meeting.  \;Please mail the check or money order with “boat cruise” in the memo line and “Attn: boat cruise” on the envelope to: Skag it Audubon Society\, P.O.
