Wallace Falls

This hike is through forest and near spectacular waterfalls north of Gold Bar along the Stevens Pass Highway.  WA State Discovery pass required to park at the Park.

C.E.N. and West hikers meet at 8 am in the SE corner of the Mount Vernon Safeway parking lot.

South hikers (Snohomish & King Counties & Camano Island) can go directly to the trailhead.

Two hike options:   Option 1 is up to a 7-mile loop, 1400 ft el gain to the top falls with a return time of 2 pm.  Moderate difficulty rating.  Everyone returning at this time is to wait for all to return safely before leaving.  Option 2 is a 9.8-to-14-mile loop, 1800 ft elevation gain to Wallace Lake, return time is 4:00 pm, difficult rating.  Everyone returning at this time is to wait for all to return safely before leaving. 

**WA State Discover Pass required.

Get Membership Information

Skagit Audubon Society holds monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month except for the months of July and August. We meet at 7:00 pm at Padilla Bay Interpretive Center (Google map), 10441 Bayview-Edison Rd. Mount Vernon. Meetings are open to all.

The board of directors meets at the same location at 7:00 pm on the first Tuesday of each month, except for the months of July and August.
