Skagit Audubon field trip Mar. 30, 2019. Rosario Head

Approximately two dozen people met at Rosario Head to join in a Skagit Audubon Society Field Trip on 3/30/19. Binoculars were available to those without or preferring a newer pair to use. Several members had spotting scopes which certainly enhanced the views of distant bird species, especially those out on the open water. The weather was simply wonderful with a cool start to the morning and sunshine quickly warming up the temperature to make a very enjoyable experience for all. Many but not all of the birds seen or heard were captured in these photographs with varying degrees of clarity. Please, if anyone else in our group got some photos, I encourage you to add them to this album. Many thanks to our trip leaders, Jeff Osmundson, Kim Nelson and Tim Manns for organizing and teaching us about the birds we encountered. I'm open to corrections on my identifications - especially the cormorants and any others too. - Ron Holmes
