Watching birds, protecting habitat, connecting with nature

Northern State Recreation Area and Marsh, May 2019

Skagit Audubon Society hosted a field trip to the Northern State Recreation Area just east of Sedro-Woolley, WA, on Saturday May 11, 2019. Field trip leader, Ron Holmes, scouted out the wetland area once on April 16, and a second time May 10, the day prior to this field trip, to check conditions. A few photos are from these dates and other photos by field trip participants on Saturday, May 11. Great weather, active birds and people who enjoy nature made this a wonderful day for all.
