Birding Field Trip-Wiley Slough Bird Walk

Saturday, March 29, 2025 – Wiley Slough Bird Walk – 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Trip Leader: Jeff Osmundson; JeffO4297@gmail.com

Pre-registration required: see registration information below

We’ll meet in the Headquarters parking lot under the pavilion for introductions and the plan for the day. The likely route will be to walk towards the boat launch and then out towards the new viewing blind. Beyond that, we will stay on the dike and look for any shorebirds and ducks on the falling tide. Wiley Slough, formally known as the Skagit Wildlife Area, is a wonderful place for beginners to expert birders. Waterfowl, perching birds, and raptors of all types may be seen on a given day. The terrain is generally flat with good footing suitable for most abilities. Dress for the weather, including wind, and bring binoculars and scopes, if you have them. Discover Pass is required for parking.
