Birding Field Trip-Wiley Slough (Conway)

Sunday, Feb. 23rd – Wiley Slough (Conway) – 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Trip Leader: Desirae Golis; desirae.golis@gmail.com

Pre-registration required: see below for registration information

We’ll meet in the Headquarters parking lot under the pavilion for introductions and the plan for the day. The likely route will be to walk towards the boat launch and then out towards the new viewing blind.  Beyond that we will stay on the dike and look for any shorebirds and ducks on the falling tide.

The Wiley Slough area, formally known as the Skagit Wildlife Area, is a wonderful place for beginners to expert birders.  Waterfowl, perching birds, raptors of all types may be seen on a given day.  The terrain is generally flat with good footing suitable for most abilities.  It can be windy so dress in layers.  Bring binoculars and scopes if you have them. Discover Pass is required for parking.
